Cacao nibs are a natural plant-based snack made from our organic Trinatario cacao beans from the Kilombero Valley in Tanzania. Cacao nibs are the inner portion of the cacao bean broken into pieces. Our Kilombero Valley Tanzania cacao is harvested and fermented for 6 days in wooden boxes before drying. We roast the cacao in Zürich and then separate the inner portion of the cacao bean from the outer portion by using a machine called a winnower. The cacao nibs are used to make our chocolate or can be enjoyed eaten by themselves or added to sweet or savoury dishes.

Our cacao nibs are a superfood high in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, specifically magnesium, potassium, omega-6 fatty acids, and fiber. Additionally, they contain theobromine, a slow-releasing and less intense stimulant/cousin of caffeine.
